Looking to Shed Weight?
"Remember it's not about crash dieting or skipping meals... losing weight is all about eating smart!"
Anything in excess is bad for health, be it excess weight or flab. But before you hit the gym, get some basic fundas into place. Determination is the key to success. And, skipping meals is definitely not going to make you look slimmer overnight.
If you decide to skip breakfast, rest assured that without a proper breakfast, you could find yourself snacking mid-morning in a bid to beat hunger pangs. In fact, studies show that most people break their diets midafternoon, probably the most common time for hunger pangs to set in.
Unfortunately, the body may not thank you for some of these 'quick fixes'. You could have a bowl of cereal, or a glass of fresh juice and a fruit, maybe stir fried vegetables, a glass of skimmed milk with a whole wheat toast, a bowl of yogurt with or without fruits or anything healthy and nutritious, this will help you going through the morning without refueling.
Vegetables are very low in calories, and are useful as filler, as well as being extremely good for you. Most contain 5 to15 calories per 25 to 30 grams, which is low compared to poultry, meat, eggs and cheese. A diet can be successful only if you feel full when you leave the table, so that your mouth does not water, at the sight of something else on the table. The more carbohydrates and fats you intake, the more is deposited as an adipose tissue on your body, no more than 20-25 percent of calories should come from it. There are twice as many calories in fat as in carbohydrates and proteins.

Brisk walking at least three times a week is a good idea to pep up your metabolism. Another way to lose weight is to burn off more calories than you consume, but this has to be a consistent effort or you may put some weight back once you stop it. Follow a routine, which you think you can continue with and will make you feel good. So, get the adrenalin pumping and discover a completely energized you!
