Why you Need Supplements During Illness?
During illness the body is under stress. Cells are destroyed, exhausted adrenal glands are unable to function properly because they are deprived of nutrients. The body's stress-fighting team of vitamin C, B6, folic acid, and pantothenic acid is severely depleted. Zinc and vitamin C are also neded in greater amounts.
These vitamins are required to utilize effectively other nutrients and to keep our metabolism functioning properly. Also, we know that fever and stress deplete most essential nutrients of our body. So, the importance of supplements is self-evident. Our need for vitamins and supplements is obviously increased when we are ill.
