Herbal, Natural, Home Remedies for Depression
- Licorice tea aids in treatment of depression. No more than three cups of tea should be used per day. Licorice is a monoamine oxidase inhibitor, and has an anti-depressive effect. Continued depression is a serious medical issue and should be discussed with a physician or mental health professional.
- Boil ¼ teaspoon powdered cardamom seeds in thin tea water and drink.
- Mix 1/8 teaspoon nutmeg powder with 1 tablespoon freshly extracted amla juice. Take 3 times a day.
- 3/4 c. of cooked spinach a day is enough to give dramatic relief from depression if you are deficient in B vitamins.
