Herbal, Natural, Home Remedies for Diarrhea
- Apples are useful in combating this affliction. Cooked carrots may also prove effective, most commonly in infants.
- Boil 2 or 3 small coconut pieces in a cup of water for a few minutes. Drink it by spoonfuls all day long, and by evening you would notice some improvement.
- Apply ginger juice around the navel.
- Grind a lemon along with seeds and rind to a paste. Add a little salt and consume.
- Combine together, 1 teaspoon of powdered ginger, powdered cumin and powdered cinnamon with honey and make into a thick paste. Take 1 teaspoon 3 times a daily.
- Slice the tender unripe bel fruit. Sun dry it and then make a powder. Take 1 teaspoon along with warm water twice a day.
- Mash 1 ripe banana along with a pinch of salt and 1 teaspoon tamarind pulp. Take 2 times a day.
- Two to three teaspoons of Agrimony brewed into a tea is also a good treatment.
- Most importantly, drink eight or more glasses of water per day.
- To rid diarrhea, heat a cup of milk in microwave (not to a boil) and drink.
- Taking Acidopholus pills helps to restore the "friendly" bacteria found in your intestinal tract, which can be low during bouts of diarrhea.
